Has Anyone Found A Good Ongoing Treatment For Recurring Psoriasis?

Luckily only have it in few patches (mostly limbs, little bit torso, sometimes face). I normally use Elecon ointment (steroid – quite strong) or light treatment, but worried about long term skin damage so wondered if anyone had any other suggestions? My sister also has worse case on scalp, any good treatments for this specifically? Many thanks

Hello there. For my plaque psor. (elbows, knees and scalp) the herbal cream/spray combo by champori works the best: my patches cleared almost completely in just 2.5 weeks and I haven’t had a flare up in more than a year now. Try it: it comes with money back guarantee, so if it doesn’t work – it’s free.
    Best,
    Bernadette

One major concern with long term steroird use is skin atrophy. One treatment is an Ammonium Lactate. Using it in conjunction with a high potency steroid will reduce atrophy by as much as 50%. In the study, the high potency steroid molecule was NOT deactivated by Lac Hydrin 12% .
As for your sister, I’d recommend Kenalog Spray, triamcinalone. It is a mid-potency steroid, non-greasy and easy to apply. Bonus is that it is convenient to carry if she gets a flare.
